  • Suzuki rated in top three of 31 brands in the UK in National Franchised Dealer Association’s Summer 2019 Dealer Attitude survey
  • Consistently high upper quartile scores in 48 of the 52 questions asked.
  • Suzuki in first position for its product advertising and consumer offers.

The continued success of Suzuki’s good relationship with its dealers across the UK is again reflected in the results of the National Franchised Dealer Association’s Summer 2019 satisfaction survey, in which it moved up from sixth to equal third position overall by its 160 strong dealer network.

Asked “how would you rate your manufacturer overall,” the dealers responding gave Suzuki a strong 8.4 out of 10 score, well above the National average of 5.1 and a score across all questions of 8.1 vs a National average of 5.8.

In the latest survey, Suzuki has witnessed a further improvement in its performance and achieved industry-best ratings in some areas. It was ranked number one for strength of advertising and consumer offers, ranked second for competitiveness of manufacturer finance programme and in the top three in other questions including response to communications, future profit and the ease in which Suzuki does its business with its network.

The quality and value of Suzuki dealer training was highly rated too with improved scores of 8.0 and 8.3 respectively, again way above the industry average of 5.5. The brands apprenticeship scheme remains highly regarded with a score of 8.8 placing it in fourth position out of 31 and a further improvement over the last survey. Also of note was the value to franchises of manufacturer field staff in which Suzuki ranked third.

Director Automobile, Dale Wyatt comments. “Whilst we are delighted about being voted third overall, the really good news for us is being in the upper quartile of 48 of the 52 questions asked in the survey. This demonstrates once again the successful, transparent and profitable relationships we have with our dealerships, not least through listening to what they have to say and taking their experiences and business priorities into account”.

“By achieving strong and mutually rewarding business partnerships, we can also provide the right environment to deliver customer satisfaction, both in the showroom, and in after sales operations. Getting these basic elements right in a currently challenging industry is crucial to securing the future success of Suzuki and our dealer partners.”

The twice-yearly NFDA survey, the largest of its kind in the UK, canvases dealers on their opinions across a wide range of business matters linked to their franchise, including overall relationship, profitability, costs, targets and investment.
